Review 57: Awkward Silence

Art: 7
Plot: 7
Characters: 8
Sex: 7

Well, this one doesn't have a whole lot of meat to it, meaning it has an extremely simple premise and doesn't take long for the first sex scene to happen. The uke is a guy who tends to not show emotion on his face, even if he's really shocked. He gets confessed to by his crush, but the other guy doesn't even think the uke likes him, as he shows no reaction. They have tons of miscommunication due to this, but eventually, with a lost-item plot device, they work things out.

The art is all right, but not amazing. And unfortunately, the uke's expressionless face is more boring than intriguing in this case.

The plot is very simplistic and altogether not engaging to the reader. There is not a lot of conflict besides the lost-item plot device, and even that isn't terribly drawn-out. Very little of interest here, folks.

The characters are decent. At least they tried to make the uke different, though it fell flat throughout due to the fact that he still thought like the typical uke. Just because he didn't blush coyly on the outside when confessed to doesn't mean he's exceptional if he still blushes on the inside. It's really just the same thing.

The sex is meh. Honestly wasn't very surprising except for how abrupt it was. Which shouldn't be surprising anymore. Overall it wasn't very exciting or special.

All in all, 29/40, which I think is better than it deserves.

Recommendation: Not really worth the time it takes to read, even though it's a short one.
